Catching up with my collection - 10

After a break in these posts to blog about attending last Sunday's card show in Syracuse, this post will continue catching up on my collection with recent purchases with cards from 2018 and 2019.

Antonio Callaway was a fourth round draft pick, out of Florida, in the 2018 NFL Draft. He was released by the Browns during the 2019 season, after a four game suspension from the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy, and then showing up late for meetings and practices. The top card is his 2018 Panini Contenders Optic rookie card.

The bottom Duke Johnson card is a Mother Lode insert card, numbered out of 99, from 2018 Panini Gold Standard. I'm not fully sure what the top left swatch is. It has thread in the bottom orange part, which is plastic. I don't know if this would be from part of a glove or shoe?

Josh Gordon played one final game with the Browns in the 2018 season, catching a late touchdown that contributed to a 21-21 tie with the Steelers. He was later traded to the Patriots where he caught Tom Brady's 500th career touchdown pass.

These two parallels are from the 2018 Panini Certified set. The card on the left is a Certified Gamers Mirror Orange card, numbered out of 99, while the card on the right is a Certified Gamers Mirror Red card, numbered out of 75.

I also added these two Josh Gordon cards. The card on the left, shared with Terrelle Pryor, is from 2018 Panini Illusions, while the card on the right is a Victorious Memorabilia insert card from 2018 Panini Unparalleled.

The DeShone Kizer card on the left is a Saturday Swatches insert card from 2018 Panini Classics. Kizer was traded to the Green Bay Packers after the 2017 season.

The card on the right is a Baker Mayfield Rookie of the Year Contenders insert card fronm 2018 Panini Contenders. Mayfield was the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Browns traded for wide receiver Jarvis Landry ahead of the 2018 season. I found that he really brought some needed professionalism to the team, and I will always be happy to add new Browns cards of him to my collection.

The card on the left is a Golden Jumbo Threads insert card, numbered out of 125, from 2018 Panini Gold Standard.

The card on the right is from 2018 Panini Illusions, and is shared with Paul Warfield. I really like these Illusions cards.

This photo has two Gold Gear insert cards, numbered out of 125, from 2018 Panini Gold Standard. The top card is of tight end David Njoku, while the bottom left card is of safety Jabrill Peppers. Both of them were first round draft picks for the Browns in 2017.

The bottom right card is another Jabrill Peppers card, this one a Catalysts Neon Blue insert card, numbered out of 99, from 2018 Panini Spectra.

Damion Ratley was a sixth round draft pick, out of Texas A&M, in the 2018 NFL Draft. He played two seasons with the Browns, catching 25 passes for 344 yards, with one catch being for a touchdown.

The card on the left is a Rookies Autographs Bronze insert card from 2018 Donruss Optic, while the middle card is from 2018 Panini Limited, numbered out of 199. The card on the right is a Rookies Autographs Red Zone insert card from 2018 Panini Playoff.

Many people have forgotten that Tyrod Taylor started the first three games of the 2018 season for the Browns after they drafted Baker Mayfield. Taylor was injured in the third game, against the Jets, and Mayfield came in to win the game for the Browns and started the rest of the season.

The Tyrod Taylor card on the left is a Golden Jumbo Threads, numbered out of 125, from 2018 Panini Gold Standard.

The card on the right, of cornerback Denzel Ward, is a Pink parallel, numbered out of 199, from 2018 Panini Phoenix.

This Nick Chubb Stars of the NFL insert card from 2019 Panini Prestige joins a Baker Mayfield from the same insert set in my collection.

Here are a couple of 2019 base cards. The card on the left is a 2019 Panini Limited of Myles Garrett.

The card on the right is a rookie card of Greedy Williams from 2019 Donruss Optic. Williams was a second round draft pick, out of LSU, in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played 39 games with the Browns from 2019-2022, missing the 2020 season with a nerve injury in his shoulder.

Mack Wilson was drafted by the Browns, out of Alabama, in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played three seasons with the Browns before being traded to the Patriots after the 2021 season.

The card on the left is his base card from 2019 Panini Luminance, while the card on the right is a Sensational Signatures insert card from 2019 Panini Prizm.

Mack Wilson's signature confused me when I looked at it. It doesn't look it fits. However, his full name is Lyndell Santrell "Mack" Wilson Sr., so that explains the 'L' at the beginning. The swoops at the end of his last name still confuse me though.

  1. I hope Greedy is a nickname. That'd be kind of sh*tty of some folks to saddle their kid with that name.

    1. It was a nickname from when he was an infant. His full name is Andraez Montrell Williams.
