Okay, life got busy so it isn't weekly, but here is another installment showing five random cards from my collection from the collection randomizer at The Trading Card Database, with one minute of commentary on each card.

2015 Panini Contenders Draft Picks #104

Ah, Vince Mayle. My favorite player to collect that never made a Browns regular season team.

An old roommate is a Washington State Cougars fan, so I watched a lot of his college games. I hoped he would do well.

2001 Score #322

Drafted third overall. I thought he had a decent stint with the Browns before being traded to Denver, but I don't think he really lived up to the billing of a number three pick. Probably tough to do as a defensive tackle.

1996 Upper Deck #243

Ugh. One of those Ravens cards that I have to collect because the player is wearing the Browns uniform from the previous year.

At least Antonio Langham had a chance to go back and wear the Browns uniform again in 1999.

2008 Leaf Rookies & Stars - Longevity Silver Holofoil #103 (#/99)

I like the photo on this card taken during a snowy game. I guess that is where the "elements" on the card comes from.

This card isn't purple, that is just coloring added to the holofoil card by my scanner.

1989 Panini Stickers #252

I collected these stickers when they came out. The great thing about the card boom in the late 80s/early 90s is that NFL cards and stickers came to stores in Canada.

I always like Brian Brennan on those 1980s Browns teams. He was a dependable receiver.

1990 Pro Set #70

What can I say? An absolutely great football name! A nice photo for a defender.

I miss Pro Set. They always had such large team sets that you got players that you wouldn't normally get. So they were overprinted...

2003 Topps Total - Silver #40

Speaking of sets giving you players you don't normally get, I miss Topps Total for the same reason. Although White, as a running back, would get cards made of him in most sets.

I didn't mind having a parallel or two to get, especially since border colors are so easy to figure out.

2004 Leaf Limited - Bronze Spotlight #136 (#/100)

I'm happy when I get cards of Browns that are in the Hall of Fame. Love the old helmet.

This parallel picked up the color from the scanner. I actually like the refracted colors that show up.

1998 Ron Mix HOF Autographs - Platinum (#/2500)

Well, a randomizer is a randomizer. I showed this card recently when I updated my all-autograph team. I still love it though, and am happy to show it again.

I'm really happy to have "The Toe" inscription with the autograph.

2000 Impact #49

Nice action shot on this card. I like how there is a border to the card but that it just fades the photo into it.

Impact was a nice low-end set to pick up. I actually bought some of it when it came out. The return of the Browns to the NFL brought my collecting back for a short period.

1995 Ultra - Gold Medallion #61

I'm happy to see this card. I think this was my favorite year of the Gold Medallion parallels that Ultra used. I like the gold foil background. Combine that with the fact that it is of Steve Everitt, a player I really liked, and I think the Database chose a good card for me.

2015 Panini Contenders #54

Josh McCown started for the Jets today, and although I didn't watch the game, it doesn't look like he did too well. Too bad. I appreciated having him around as a quarterback in Cleveland, even if he didn't get the winning results I wanted.

2002-03 UD SuperStars #261

I had never heard of this multi-sport set until I got a card from it in a lot of Browns cards that I bought. I think there are three Browns cards in the set.

Rick Nash sure had a way better career than Andre Davis.

2012 Score - Gold Zone #286

Gold Zone, one of Score's many annual parallels.

I thought Sheard was a good player for the Browns, but was one of many defensive players that was drafted over the years that fell victim to changing defensive schemes.

2011 Score - Hot Rookies #12

You have to love the training uniforms being shown on the cards. I've got so many cards of Greg Little wearing 00. Although, I guess it is better than seeing combine photos of players in shorts and t-shirts with numbers on them.

Michael Jackson! Woo hoo!

I think I preferred when he wore number 1 as opposed to 81.

I didn't have any of these Electric Silver cards until I got back into collecting years after these came out.

I'm a broken record: Clay Matthews should be in the Hall of Fame.

Not a very flattering off-balance photo of him, but look at those eyes!

I really should get a 57 jersey.

2012 Topps Chrome - Rookie Relics #RR-10

At the time, someone was probably happy to pull this card! Now Richardson is used as the warning to not draft running backs so high, and also not to trade first round picks for them.

I thought it was a good draft pick when it was made.

1992 Classic Four Sport #100

Touchdown Tommy! (Who didn't live up to the name in Cleveland.) I like seeing the college card pop up in the randomizer.

Seeing this reminds me that I really have to send a package to Gavin - this is one of his guys from Granite.

1994 Action Packed #19

I loved Action Packed when it first came out. One of my best pulls was in 1991 Action Packed, when I pulled a 24 K gold-stamped Joe Montana card.

The raised features really look odd in a scan. Vinny's face looks a little puffy.

I think doing these on Sundays will allow me to avoid talking about disappointing games.

Same rules as last week (although I've changed the name from 'five minute post'), the five minutes refers to up to one minute to comment about each card, the set-up time for this post don't count in the five minutes.

1994 Pro Line Live #23

Bernie Kosar's backup at Miami, although Kosar was younger. Replaced Bernie in Cleveland. Ended up having a fairly long career with stops in Baltimore, New York and Dallas afterwards that I remember.

2014 Panini Certified #154 (SN/999)

Did not have a great career with the Browns. Has made a couple of stops in the league since being released. I know he is playing somewhere now but not sure where.

2010 Panini Certified #297 (SN/699)

A nice cards that the Trading Card Database tells me was a redemption card. I'm pretty sure I picked it up in a store nice and cheap.

Hardesty looked good at various times, but couldn't overcome injury problems year after year.

2001 Pacific Canvas Impressions #32

If I recall correctly, these cards only look like canvas, but feel glossy.

I really don't know what I can say about Tim Couch that I haven't said already. Oh, I know, he did color commentary for the Browns during pre-season. I enjoyed listening to him.

2011 Playoff National Treasures #270 (SN/99)

I had high expectations for a long career out of First Round Pick Phil Taylor. Sadly, injuries derailed his career, and this first round pick didn't work out for the Browns. A common story.
