I'm slowly catching up with cards that I've acquired for my collection over the last while. This post will show cards from 2013 and 2014.
Here are a couple of Greg Little memorabilia cards.
The top card is a Mirror Red Materials insert card from 2013 Panini Certified, while the bottom card is a Totally Red Materials insert card from 2013 Panini Totally Certified. Both cards are numbered out of 299.
I completely forgot that Greg Little changed his number from 15 to 18.
The top left card is the only card that I own of Leon McFadden, a Browns third round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft out of San Diego State. It is an Autographs insert card from the college 2013 Leaf Draft set.
The top right card is a Mini Orange Border insert card of Barkevious Mingo from 2013 Topps Magic.
I love orange colored borders on Browns cards, and I think I'm safe in saying that Mingo is the only Barkevious in my collection.
The bottom two cards are of 2013 Eagles draft pick Jordan Poyer. He was released by the Eagles in October 2013, and signed with the Browns. Since he played with the Browns in 2013, these college cards fit in my collection.
Poyer played with the Browns through the 2016 season before signing as a free agent with the Bills, and is still playing with them.
The card on the bottom left is an Autographs Silver Red Ink insert card from 2013 Press Pass, and is numbered out of 52.
The card on the bottom right is a Red Ink insert card from 2013 Press Pass Fanfare, numbered out of 50.
I now own three Jordan Poyer cards, all autographs. The other card is in a Browns uniform.
Here are a few more Trent Richardson cards for my collection.
The top left card is a Groundwork Materials insert card, numbered out of 99, from 2013 Panini Limited.
The top right card is a NFL Nation insert card from 2013 Panini Rookies & Stars,
The bottom card is a Rookie League Leaders Quad Materials insert card from 2013 Panini Prestige, numbered out of 299. The card is for receptions, and the bottom two players are running backs.
As you can see, these two Brandon Weeden cards are from the same set, 2013 Panini Totally Certified.
The top card is a Totally Blue Materials insert card, numbered out of 99, while the bottom card is a Totally Red Materials insert card, numbered out of 299.
The 2014 cards start with three autographed Isaiah Crowell cards, with his loopy autograph.
Isaiah Crowell was an undrafted free agent that made the Browns after finishing his college career with Alabama State. He rushed for just over 3100 yards in his four seasons with the Browns.
The card on the left is an Autographs insert card from 2014 SAGE HIT, while the center card is a Autographs Black insert card from the same set.
The card on the right is a Rookie Signatures insert card from 2014 Panini Totally Certified.
Three different players in the cards above.
The Jordan Cameron card is a Certified Fabrics insert card from 2014 Panini Totally Certified.
Looking online, I just found out that Jordan Cameron has two sons with Elin Nordegren, the ex-wife of Tiger Woods. You learn something new every day.
The bottom left card, of Pierre Desir, a fourth round draft pick out of the Division II school Lindenwood, is an Autographs insert from the college 2014 SAGE HIT set.
The bottom right card is a Retail Red parallel card from 2014 Panini Absolute. Gabriel was a Browns undrafted free agent from Abilene Christian. He played two seasons with the Browns before moving on to play with the Falcons and Bears.
The card on the left is a Knights of the Round Table Materials insert card of Josh Gordon from 2014 Panini Crown Royale. It is numbered out of 399. Gordon was coming off of a 2013 season where he led the league in receiving yards, and was an AP First-Team All-Pro player.
The card on the right is a Playoff Ticket parallel of Christian Kirksey, numbered out of 199, from 2014 Panini Contenders.
Kirksey was a third round pick for the Browns in the 2014 NFL Draft, out of Iowa. He played six seasons with the Browns. He announced his retirement from the NFL on September 21, 2023.
Madden gamers may remember a glitch in the 2015 version of the game where Kirksey appeared as a player just over a foot tall compared with the rest of the players at their normal heights.
During his rookie season, I definitely spent more than I like to admit on Johnny Manziel cards. The cards in this post were much better on my bank account.
The top card is numbered out of 99, and from the 2014 Panini Black Friday promotional set.
The bottom card, numbered out of 599, is a New Generation Materials card from 2014 Panini Certified.
The card on the left is a Dirty Laundry insert card for 2014 Panini Prizm. I haven't yet watched Manziel's recent documentary, but did see a couple of clips. I don't know if any dirty laundry was aired publicly in it.
I generally like the look of this Dress for Success Materials insert card from 2014 Panini Rookies & Stars, but really wonder why they would have to ball displayed in the photo with the NFL Shield upside down. (And, yes, really, I'm aware it is so his fingers are on the laces.)
The top two cards are from 2014 Panini Select. The one on the left is the Rookie Jerseys insert card, numbered out of 399, while the one on the right is the Rookie Jerseys Prizm Fuchsia parallel of the first one, with this one being numbered out of 199.
The bottom card is a Relics Bronze insert card, numbered out of 150 from 2014 Topps Strata.
Connor Shaw was an undrafted free agent that signed with the Browns. He started the final game of the season for the Browns, their third starting quarterback that year (Brian Hoyer, and Johnny Manziel were the others.)
Shaw's top left card is a Status Gold parallel from 2014 Panini Elite, numbered out of 199, while his bottom card is a Freshman Orientation Materials insert card from 2014 Panini Rookies & Stars.
The top right card is a Signatures card of Ben Tate from 2014 Panini Select. Tate signed as a free agent before the 2014 season and played eight games with the Browns before being released.
Tate was released after splitting carries with Isaiah Crowell, and Terrance West, a third round pick of the Browns, out of Towson, in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Here are a number of Terrance West cards that entered my collection.
The top card is a Relics Gold Refractors insert card from 2014 Bowman Sterling. It is numbered out of 99. It is a very thick card.
The bottom left card is a Gold parallel, numbered out of 99, from 2014 Panini Black Gold.
The bottom right card is a Rookie of the Year Contenders Gold insert card, numbered out of 199, from 2014 Panini Contenders.
The card on the left is a Rookie Royalty Materials insert card, numbered out of 499, from 2014 Panini Crown Royale.
The card on the right is a Autographed Rookies Prizms Pink insert card, numbered out of 150, from 2014 Panini Prizm, with its breast cancer awareness ribbons across it.
The top right card is a Rookie Jumbo Jerseys Patch Extra Points Purple insert card, numbered out of 100 from 2014 Panini Prestige. Not sure how it qualifies as a jumbo patch.
The top right Dress for Success Materials insert card joins the earlier Johnny Manziel card from 2014 Panini Rookies & Stars. However on this card, the NFL Shield is the right side up in the photo.
The bottom card, also from 2014 Panini Rookies & Stars, is a Freshman Orientation Materials insert card.
The top left card is a Rookie Relics insert card from 2014 Topps Chrome. It reminds me of older Topps Finest cards,
I like adding the top right card to my collection. It is a 1963 Mini Autographs insert card, numbered out of 150, from 2014 Topps. It joins an unsigned version of the mini card.
The bottom card is a Fire Relics insert card from 2014 Topps Fire.
The card on the left is from 2014 Topps Five Star, and is another pretty thick card. It is kind of strange to get thick cards like that without some sort of memorabilia inside it.
The middle card is a Rookie Autographs Copper insert card, numbered out of 99, from 2014 Topps Prime, while the card on the right is a Prime Patches insert card from the same set.
The top and middle cards are from 2014 Topps Strata. The top card is from the Clear Cut Autographed Rookie Relics Sapphire Patches insert set, while the middle card is from the Relics Sapphire Patches insert set. Both of these cards are numbered out of 75.
The bottom card is a Rookie Autograph Relics insert card, numbered out of 99, from 2014 Topps Triple Threads.
These Terrance West cards moved him past Vinnie Testeverde into eighth place in the rankings for most cards of all players in my collection.
The quad relics usually provide some good eye appeal, especially when all of the swatches are a different color. And I would imagine that you weren't the only one who spent too much on Johnny Manziel back then; he did have a lot of hype surrounding him at the time.
